Update!

Hello ALL,

First, I want to apologize for being missing in action for a while. Actually, I haven't been missing at all. . . I've been on blogger almost daily to read your blogs/updates but every time I sit down to blog about us I have found complications. I either have homework to do, dinner to make, or simply a loss for words. Second, I want to apologize for the nature of my last blog. I had a rough day and I felt the need to get it out in one way or another so I chose to channel my emotions through blogger. I want to thank all of you who left a comment, called or said a silent prayer. I truly appreciate your kindness!

Here's a little update on what we've been up to these days.

Christmas was amazing! We didn't "go all out" this year as we had in previous years. I loved being able to focus my attention on my children and family other than shopping/gifts/money, etc. Jeff and I decided to get the girls a few small things that were theirs (read: they don't have to share), as well as many gifts to share with each other and then every year we also buy a bigger "family" gift for all of us. As for Christmas morning I decided not to put tags on any gifts - instead I wrapped each set of gifts (Alissa's, Carley's, the shared gifts and the family gifts) in its own wrapping paper, respectively. It was fun watching the girls try to figure out whose gifts were whose.

Shortly after New Years 3/4 of us went back to school. Carley and Alissa went back on track while I went back to college. It's been quite an adjustment and I'm exhausted needless to say. I've been out of school for over a year - I took time off for numerous reasons - and it's hard getting back into the routine of things. Good news: I was awarded a waiver that assisted in paying for quite a bit of my class fees! Thank you, Lord!

Speaking of school I have changed my major once and for all (maybe). I am now majoring in Mathematics with an emphasis on teaching. I would love to be a college math professor or high school math teacher. The change in my major has created a longer student plan for me. I don't necessarily have more classes but the ones I need are prerequisites for the next so I can't double up. My feelings on this: BRING IT ON!

I definitely have much more to blog about so I'll be back again soon!

Hugs!
